The Survey Phase

There is first the need to determine the surveys need, a community survey as well, and a building survey that checks the structural condition of existing buildings. Then recommendations can be made to you Church.

The Planning Phase

Space needed For Church Programs - It is important to correlate the programs and space needs for Worship for example. Decide upon the Interim and Final Auditorium Structure – Vestibule . Everything from Pulpit Platform and Choir / Praise Team areas, as well as where the Musicians will be set in place. The Auditorium, Chapel, and Prayer Room, and or Dining Area seating must be laid out.

Providing for Physically Handicapped and Exceptional Needs Members and GuestsOne must plan the site to accommodate the disabled – parking, walks and ramps, entrance doors etc. It is critical to plan your building to be Handicapped Friendly. Corridors, Stairs, Elevators, Bathrooms, Class and Department Rooms.

Selecting, Retaining and Working with the Architect.Of course this is if you were to not work with us. We will facilitate all the things listed on these pages if selected to take all those burdens off of the Pastor and the Committee. We want and require approvalFrom both, every step of the way when contracts are ratified.

Planning Church Grounds and Parking Lots - We can assist or do the Development of the Master ( s) Plan. Assess the pattern of grown and plan for it, while working with the influences of codes and ordinances – zoning processes – parking required – rules of thumb for building, land and parking space – proper property utilization . It is important to take a realistic look at the needs and possibilities- local buildings by use – relating buildings and grounds – circulation – respecting the site and neighborhood.
